A Simplicity Shirt-Dress

So for the first project with my new sewing machine, I went to my local Joann's and looked through a couple patterns catalogues. I picked out several patterns, but I chose to make this cute shirt-dress first.
I chose to make view B with view A's sleeves.

It has pockets! Yay pockets!

I added lace to the cuffs because I made the sleeves a tiny bit too short… The lace is the perfect detail, though.
My new machine also has an edge stitching foot, which I used a good bit while making this dress.

The sleeves can be rolled up and held in place with a button tab

Fabric detail. It's a pretty, pale mint green cotton with little gold flowers printed all over.

Here it is with the tie belt
