Dressy Dresses

I have made a couple of dresses for dressier events.

I made this dress for Homecoming my junior year of high school

I love the deep raspberry color. The ribbon at the waist is also a nice touch that really makes this dress unique.

I made this dress for Prom my senior year of high school. The high-lo, sheer overlay is a nice touch. The day of prom, I decided to add the ribbon at the waist for a bit of contrast. I used the same ribbon to tie my corsage to my wrist.

I had a bit of trouble getting the skirt underneath to fit right… I had to add a bit of fabric after the fact since my backside is a bit out of proportion with the rest of me lol
